A rising star of the boxing world is receiving support from an unusual corner.
For the past year Jahleel Payao has been knocking out his opponents with a little help from Crazy Domains.
Mark Evans, CEO, met 21-year-old Jahleel Payao when he joined the Omega boxing club in Cebu, Philippines – and he immediately recognised Payao was a serious contender.
Unbeaten
Unbeaten in 10 professional fights, and weighing in at 115lbs, Payao is boxing for the WBC Youth World super flyweight title on December 9.
Evans says it was Payao’s heavyweight passion and ambition that impressed him. He said:
“Very early on we were training together, and I asked Jahleel what his goal was in life. He directly answered me, with no hesitation: he wanted to be the World Champion. I then asked him by when, and he positively told me 2015.
The most successful people in the world are not born excellent. They have a natural talent, and that only gets them so far. I saw the potential and talent in Jahleel: but you need to work hard to be excellent.
Jahleel stands out with other successful people because he is so passionate about his boxing. He loves, lives and breathes the sport.”
Six KOs
With six KOs under his belt since his first professional fight in 2011, Payao was this year crowned the Philippine Boxing Federation champion, and has successfully defended his title once already.
Payao started boxing as an amateur in 2005, but says his love for the sport goes back even further.
“I’ve been fascinated about the sport ever since childhood, when I always saw it on TV. I looked up to the Filipino greats such as Manny Pacquiao, Donnie Nietes and Nonito Donaire.
My first amateur fight was at the age of 11. I won against my opponent and was awarded a silver medal – it wasn’t long before I decided to go pro. I was 16 and I had the vision to be a world class boxer, having won my amateur matches.”
Now Payao is tipped to be as big as the greats he idolised as a child, and Crazy Domains are helping him on his quest to be a future world champ.

Providing Payao with sponsorship and equipment, he says that Crazy Domains’ sponsorship has given him extra encouragement to go after his dream.
“It feels good to have someone believe in and support you.”
It won’t be long before he’s lifting the Championship belt again.
