Domain transfers (with some exceptions, notably .uk) won’t initiate until you have confirmed the transfer.
When you successfully apply to transfer a domain, an email is sent to the registrant contact email address to confirm the transfer.
If this address is not active or not accessible then it can be confirmed by finding the transfer confirmation notice in your notification list in either your reseller account or member account. It can also be resent from there to an address of your choosing.
Once the transfer has been confirmed the domain’s status will change to Transfer In and finally it will change to Registered, Renewal Due or Expired depending on the registration period left on the domain. At this stage an email notification confirming that the transfer is complete will be sent. In addition to this, once viewing the notification here you can resend it to an address of your choosing using the tool below the body of the notification.
