What is a Subdomain?
A subdomain is simply an extension of a registered domain name. For example, if your registered domain name is mydomain.com, you can create subdomains like the following without needing to register them:
Basically, a subdomain is a part of a registered domain name, so it does not need to be registered in the Domain Name System (DNS). However, it does have its own URL and you can set up a separate fully functional website on it.
However, if you want to create multiple websites, each with a registered domain name, and host them in your hosting account, you can do so by setting them up as Addon Domains.
If you would like to create one, please see our guide on how to create a Subdomain.
