How to Update Hosting FTP Password
An FTP password that is not secured can compromise the confidentiality of your data. With data stored virtually, an account could be susceptible to hacking if you choose a weak password. In case your password is not a strong one, please consider changing it now.
How to Update Hosting FTP Password
Follow the steps below to change your FTP password.
Step 1. | Access your Hosting Manager. |
Step 2. | On the Home page, click Files icon or the [ v ] arrow symbol, and then click the FTP Accounts button. |
Step 3. | Scroll down to FTP Accounts. Click on the Gear icon next to the FTP Login you want to reset. Then select the Change Password option. |

Step 4. | Enter your new password. |
Note: Clicking on the Password Generator button will automatically enter a system-generated string of random characters in the Password fields. If used, click on the field to view the Password, then copy and paste it in a secure place. |

Step 5. | Click the Change Password button. |
