How to Recover a Domain from Redemption

Domain Name Redemption is governed by the Registry, not Crazy Domains (Registrar), and only applies to Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) generic Top Level Domains (gTLDs).

If all the Auto Renewal attempts fail and you do not Manually Renew your Domain Name before its expiration date, the Domain Name will go into the Renewal Grace Period — which lasts for 30 days to 45 days. Once the Renewal Grace Period is up and you have not renewed your domain name, it will then undergo a Redemption Period.

During the Redemption Period, you will be given up to 30 calendar days to Restore your domain name. If you fail to Restore your domain name within the given time frame, it will then be placed on Pending Delete status and eventually be Deleted after (5) five days — making it available for anyone to register.

Activating a Domain from Redemption

To Activate and Restore your domain name from Redemption, please fill in the Domain Redemption Form and send it to us for processing.

Recovering a domain from Redemption will restore the domain to an Active Status, and extend the domain registration period by (1) one year.

Furthermore, you will need to pay the administrative fees applied by the Registry, which would cover the restoration of the domain and its renewal for (1) one year.
