How to Enable or Disable Two-Step Verification System

What is the Two-Step Verification System?

The Two-Step Verification System adds an extra layer of security to your account via one additional check – mobile phone verification.

The first step is to enter your login credentials (login username and password) as is. Then, the second step will require you to enter the verification code we sent to your mobile phone.

How to Enable the Two-Step Verification System

Enabling this added layer of security can be done through the Account Manager. Use the steps below to know how:

  1. Click Sign Up / Log In at the top of this page.
  2. Ensure that Account Manager is selected.
  3. Enter your username and password, then click Log In.
  4. Click on the Visit My Account button.
  5. On your Home page, click Edit Profile.
  6. Click on the Security tab.
  7. Scroll down to find the Two-step Verification section, then tick the box beside Enable two-step verification. A Primary Phone input will appear.
  8. Select your country code from the drop-down list and enter your mobile number, then click Verify.
  9. On the Phone Verification Code pop-up window, you may select between these two verification methods:
    Missed Call To receive the verification code via Missed Call, select the “I am ready, call me now!” option, then use the last four digits of the phone number calling you as the code.
    SMS To receive the verification code via SMS, select the “Do not call, send me an SMS.” option.
  10. Upon selecting your preferred method, click on the Get Code button.
  11. Enter the code and click Submit.

    Note: A confirmation message will display once the verification code entered has been validated.

    On the other hand, a 60-second timer will appear which automatically changes to a link that you can click if NO Missed Call or SMS was received after one minute.

  12. Click OK.

Congratulations! You’ve successfully enabled your Two-Step Verification.

How to Disable the Two-Step Verification System

On the other hand, you also have the option to quickly remove this option, anytime. To disable it, follow these steps:

  1. Click Sign Up / Log In at the top of this page.
  2. Ensure that Account Manager is selected.
  3. Enter your username and password, then click Log In.
  4. Click on the Visit My Account button.
  5. On your Home page, click Edit Profile.
  6. Click on the Security tab.
  7. Scroll down to find the Two-step verification section, then uncheck the box beside Enable two-step verification. Your Primary Phone input will automatically be removed.

Congratulations! You've successfully disabled your Two-Step Verification.
