If your domain is registered through Crazy Domains, your Sitebeat will automatically be connected to your domain name as soon as it is registered. You won't need to do anything else.
If your domain is registered with another provider, you will need to make changes to the domain name settings. To do this, you will need to log into their management console and update the Name Servers.
Important: Changing your domain's Name Servers will affect any services you have set up on that domain, e.g. email services. Only change the Name Servers if you do not have any other service connected to your domain name.
To connect to our Sitebeat service, update the Name Servers to the following records:
If you have any difficulties, contact your domain provider and give them these Name Servers to set up on your domain name. If you have further problems, you can always transfer your domain to us.
I cannot change my Name Servers
If you have other services, like email hosting, connected to your domain name and cannot update your Name Servers, you can still connect your domain to Sitebeat, without affecting your services.
To do this, please contact your hosting provider and set the records below in your DNS settings:
- Change the A Record for yourdomain.com (replace with your domain) to point to your Sitebeat IP address: XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX (please contact Crazy Domains to get the IP address needed).
- Change the CNAME Record for www.yourdomain.com (replace with your domain) to point to yourdomain.com (replace with your domain).
Congratulations! You just learned how to connect your domain to Sitebeat.
