How to change Mailbox plan

Changing Mailbox plan on Exchange

The allocated storage space for all your users’ mailboxes is entirely based on the Mailbox plan type that you have selected for your Exchange account. If you want more storage space, you can simply change your plan type. Here’s how:

  1. Click on My Account at the top of this page.
  2. Ensure that Account Manager is selected.
  3. Enter your username and password, and click Log In.
  4. Click on the Visit My Account button.
  5. Click on Email in the menu bar at the top of the page.
  6. Click on the Email Exchange you wish to manage.
  7. From the management page, click Control Panel on the right.
  8. Enter your Exchange Manager username and password, and click Log In.
  9. The Exchange home screen will display, click on the Email Management icon.
  10. Click on the name of your Organisation.
  11. Click on Mailboxes from the Exchange menu on the left.
  12. Click on the Display Name of the Mailbox whose Mailbox Plan you want to change.
  13. From the Settings tab, select the required Mailbox plan and click Save Changes.

Congratulations, you have changed the Mailbox Plan for the user’s Mailbox.

Changing Mailbox plan on Exchange 2016

For new Exchange users, you will see the new interface on your account manager. If you want to change your plan type, here are the steps that you need to follow:

  1. Click on My Account at the top of this page.
  2. Ensure that Account Manager is selected.
  3. Enter your username and password, and click Log In.
  4. Click on the Visit My Account button.
  5. Click on Email in the menu bar at the top of the page.
  6. Click on the Email Exchange you wish to manage.
  7. From the management page, click Control Panel on the right.
  8. Enter your Exchange Manager username and password, and click Log In.
  9. Click on Mailboxes.
  10. Click on the relevant Display Name that you want to modify the Mailbox plan of.
  11. From the Settings tab, select the Mailbox plan you prefer, and click Save Changes.

Congratulations, you have changed the Mailbox Plan for the user’s Mailbox on Exchange 2016.

Creating and configuring Mailbox plans

If you want to configure the amount of storage space for any Mailbox Plan or add a new one, follow the instructions below:

  1. Click on My Account at the top of this page.
  2. Ensure that Account Manager is selected.
  3. Enter your username and password, and click Log In.
  4. Click on the Visit My Account button.
  5. Click on Email in the menu bar at the top of the page.
  6. Click on the Email Exchange you wish to manage.
  7. From the management page, click Control Panel on the right.
  8. Enter your Exchange Manager username and password, and click Log In.
  9. The Exchange home screen will display, click on the Management icon.
  10. Click on the name of your Organisation.
  11. Click on Mailbox Plans from the Exchange menu on the left.
  12. Click Add New Mailbox plan to create a new Mailbox Plan, or click on the existing Mailbox Plan to configure it.
  13. If you are creating a new Mailbox Plan, then type the new Mailbox Plan name in the Mailbox plan field. In the Quotas section, specify the amount of storage space for all of your users’ mailboxes based on this Mailbox plan.
  14. Click Add Mailbox plan.

Congratulations, you have configured the mailbox and can now assign any of your users’ mailboxes to it.

Creating and configuring Mailbox plans with Exchange 2016

If you wish to create a new mailbox plan with Exchange 2016, see the steps listed below:

  1. Click on My Account at the top of this page.
  2. Ensure that Account Manager is selected.
  3. Enter your username and password, and click Log In.
  4. Click on the Visit My Account button.
  5. Click on Email in the menu bar at the top of the page.
  6. Click on the Email Exchange you wish to manage.
  7. From the management page, click Control Panel on the right.
  8. Enter your Exchange Manager username and password, and click Log In.
  9. Click on Mailbox Plans.
  10. Click Add New to create a new Mailbox plan.
  11. Type the new Plan Name in the Mailbox plan field. In the Quotas section, specify the amount of the storage space for all your users’ mailboxes based on this Mailbox plan.
  12. Click Add.

Congratulations, you have created a new mailbox plan with Exchange 2016.

To configure an existing plan, here’s what you need to do:

  1. Click on My Account at the top of this page.
  2. Ensure that Account Manager is selected.
  3. Enter your username and password, and click Log In.
  4. Click on the Visit My Account button.
  5. Click on Email in the menu bar at the top of the page.
  6. Click on the Email Exchange you wish to manage.
  7. From the management page, click Control Panel on the right.
  8. Enter your Exchange Manager username and password, and click Log In.
  9. Click on Mailbox Plans.
  10. Click on the existing Mailbox plan you want to configure.
  11. In the Quotas section, specify the amount of the storage space you want your new Mailbox plan to have.
  12. Click Save.
