How do I create & update the TXT Records?

A TXT Record is a resource record in the Domain Name System (DNS) used to hold some plaintext information about a particular hostname/zone provided to sources outside your domain.

To create a TXT Record on your domain name you will need Premium DNS, which is a DNS cloud hosting service fully loaded with DNS hosting management tools. This option is located under each domain within your Account Manager.

Creating TXT Records

You can create TXT Records easily by doing the following:

  1. Click Sign Up / Log In at the top of this page.
  2. Ensure that Account Manager is selected.
  3. Enter your username and password and click Log In.
  4. Click on the Visit My Account button.
  5. Click on Domains from the menu bar at the top of the page.
  6. Click on the domain you wish to update. If you have only one domain, you will be taken straight to the domain management page for that domain.
  7. Scroll down to the DNS Settings - Premium section, click the menu icon on the right and select Add Record from the drop-down menu.
  8. Select TXT Record from the drop-down menu and click Add.
  9. Enter the Sub Domain if necessary, followed by the TXT Record text.
  10. Click Update.

TXT Records are applied immediately but may take up to 2 hours to propagate across the Internet. If you have created your TXT Records and have seen no change, please wait for this propagation. Otherwise, it is advised that you contact us.
