What Is an Exchange Calendar
Exchange Calendar is a feature powered by Exchange which allows you to collaborate with team members and other departments within your organisation. A quick look at your Exchange Calendar lets you see meetings, tasks, events, and updates within your network.
Where Do I find my Calendar
Once you’ve set up your Exchange Mailbox on Outlook desktop, click on the Calendar icon at the bottom-left section of the application to access it.
If you're using Outlook on your browser, click on the 9-Square Icon at the top menu and select Calendar.
Note that if you’re using Calendar via Outlook Web Access (OWA), the features will be limited.
What Can I Do With Exchange Calendar
Your Exchange Calendar will improve your business’ productivity. Here are some of the things you can do with it:
- Create More Calendars
Create different calendars for each project or event and select whether you want to view everything at once or view them individually. In this way, you get a bird’s eye view of everything that’s going on and can zoom in on a specific project any time you need to. - Share Calendars & Assign Roles
The whole purpose of collaboration is so everyone can contribute. Share your calendar and assign users with different permission levels. This allows you to control your members’ roles and levels of access. More than that, you can email calendars to users outside of your Organisation or publish your calendars to reach an even wider audience. - Group Your Calendars
With a lot of sharing going on, it’s definitely going to get crowded. Group your calendars according to team, department, event, etc., to toggle between clusters with just 1 click. - Manage Your Meetings & Appointments
You don’t have to inform each member about a meeting, then plot it on the calendar. You check your Exchange Calendar and set a meeting on an available date. Outlook automatically sends invites to your team, plots it on everyone’s calendars, and even sends out reminders so nobody misses it. - Set Recurring Appointments, Meetings, & Events
Plan everything ahead of time and leave the rest to your Exchange Calendar. Receive and send out reminders for recurring activities without having to set them up every time. - Manage Tasks
Exchange Tasks have a separate view on Outlook, but you can easily have your tasks list appear beside your Exchange Calendar for easy tracking.
