How To Install CMS in cPanel
Creating a website can be complicated, but with the help of a content management system (CMS), creating, managing, and modifying contents on a website will become easier. CMS lets you create a website without having the technical knowledge of coding the site from scratch.
Popular CMS applications include WordPress, Joomla, and Magento. Each can serve broad or niche content management needs depending on user requirements.
Installing CMS Using Installatron
Installing CMS manually can be hard for non-technical people, but don't worry, we have integrated Installatron in our cPanel. Installatron will make the long process of manual CMS installation shorter.
Follow the steps below to install CMS using Installatron Applications Installer.
- Log in to your cPanel.
- Scroll down to SOFTWARE section and click Installatron Applications Installer.
- Click the Applications Browser tab at the top right of the page.
- Locate and click the CMS that you want to install. In our example, we select WordPress.
- Click the +install this application button at the top right of the page.
- In the Domain field, select the domain where you want to install your selected CMS.
- Make the Directory (Optional) field empty.
IMPORTANT
If you want to install your selected CMS in a subdirectory of your domain, you need to fill out the Directory (Optional) field.
For example, putting store in the Directory (Optional) field will install the CMS on the store subfolder: https://sampledomain.com/store - Keep the Version settings as is, unless you have your own preference.
- Scroll down to the Settings section and fill out the required information like username, password, email, etc. Keep the rest of the settings as is or change it according to your preference.
NOTE
Take note of your username and password, you will use it to access your CMS dashboard. - Click + Install at the bottom right of the page to proceed.
