How to Set Up Your cPanel Email on Apple Mail

Mail is the default email application included with macOS. This guide will walk you through the steps to configure it for accessing your email account.

Before you begin, ensure that you have already created your email address in the Hosting Manager or Plesk (for Windows Hosting) before setting it up in Mac Mail.

How to Set Up Your cPanel Email on Apple Mail 

  1. Click on the Mail icon in your dock or open it from the Applications folder. 
  2. In the top menu, click Mail, then select Add Account
  3. Choose Other Mail Account…, then click Continue
  4. Enter Your Email Details  

     

    • Name: This is what people will see when you send emails
    • Email Address: Type your full email (e.g., [email protected])
    • Password: Enter the password for your email account
  5. Then click Sign In
  6. Add Server Settings (if needed). If your Mac can't find the settings automatically, you may need to fill them in manually: 

     

    • Account Type: Choose IMAP (recommended) or POP
    • Incoming Mail Server: mail.yourdomain.com  
    • Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP): mail.yourdomain.com  
    • Username: Your full email address  
    • Password: Your email password 
       

      POP ACCOUNT SERVER INFORMATION

      Account Type POP
      Incoming mail server mail.(yourdomain.com)
      Port 995
      Encryption method SSL/TLS
      Outgoing mail server mail.(yourdomain.com)
      Port 465
      Encryption method SSL/TLS
       

      IMAP ACCOUNT SERVER INFORMATION

      Account Type IMAP
      Incoming mail server mail.(yourdomain.com)
      Port 993
      Encryption method SSL/TLS
      Outgoing mail server mail.(yourdomain.com)
      Port 465
      Encryption method SSL/TLS

       
  7. Click Sign In again. 
  8. Click Done.  

Congratulations! You have added your email account to Apple Mail.
