How to Manage Hosting Account Subdomain
A Subdomain is an extension to your main domain. You can use it to separate specific contents from your main Domain Name. For example, you can create a subdomain on your website called gallery that is accessible through your URL gallery.mydomain.com. The other common subdomains you can create are blog.mydomain.com or shop.mydomain.com. This is helpful for visitors to easily remember and access other sections of your website apart from your domain name.

Access Subdomain Page
Your Hosting Manager can allow you to manage hosting settings including creating subdomain, updating document root, manage redirection, and remove subdomain. Follow the steps below to access your subdomain page.
Step 1. Log in to your cPanel.
Step 2. From the Home page, Scroll down to the Domains or the, then click the Subdomains option.

Create a Subdomain
Follow these steps below to create a Subdomain in your Hosting Manager.
Step 1. On the Subdomain page, enter the following details:
| Subdomain | Enter the name of the subsection. For example: blog.mydomain.com or support.mydomain.com |
|---|---|
| Domain | Select the primary domain you prefer the subdomain to be an extension of. |
| Document Root | The specific pathway for your subdomain. Usually generated by the system. |
Step 2. Click the Create button, then click the Go Back button to return to the Subdomain page.
Edit Document Root
The Document Root is where you store the website files for a domain name. Your primary domain is rooted in the public_html folder. If you wish to edit your Document Root, you can follow these steps below.
Step 1. On the Subdomain page, go to the Modify a Subdomain section of the page.
If you have multiple Subdomains, you can look it up by typing in the subdomain name in the search textbox, then click the Go button.
Step 2. Click the corresponding Pencil icon under Document Root column of the subdomain you want to edit.
Step 3. On the pop-up window, enter the appropriate pathway in the Document Root field. Then, click the Change button.
You have successfully updated your Document Root. If you wish to go back to the Subdomains page, click the Go Back button.
Manage Redirection
You can redirect visitors from a Subdomain to another site address. For example, support.mydomain.com to help.mydomain.com. Follow the steps below to manage redirection.
Step 1. On the Subdomain page, scroll down to the Modify a Subdomain part of the page.
Step 2. If you have multiple Subdomains, you can look it up by typing in the Subdomain name in the search textbox, then click the Go button.
Step 3. Click the Manage Redirection link on the right side of the subdomain you want to manage.
Step 4. Enter the complete website address that your subdomain redirects to, then click Save.
Step 5. If you wish to Disable redirection of a specific Subdomain, click the Disable Redirection button.
Click the Go Back button to go back to the Subdomain page.
Remove Subdomain
You can permanently remove a subdomain from your hosting account by following these steps below.
Step 1. On the Subdomain page, scroll down to the Modify a Subdomain section of the page.
Step 2. Click the Remove link on the right side of the subdomain you want to remove.
Step 3. Click the Delete Subdomain button.
A message will show that your Subdomain is deleted on your hosting account. If you wish to return to the Subdomain page, click the Go Back button.
