How To Install Magento Using Installatron in cPanel

Share

Magento is one of the commonly used apps for eCommerce to build your online store and personalize your customers' shopping experience. You can install Magento quickly in your cPanel. Just follow the instructions on this guide carefully, and you'll have your Magento site ready in minutes.

Installing Magento

  1. Log in to your cPanel.
  2. Scroll down to SOFTWARE section and click Installatron Applications Installer.
  3. Click the Applications Browser tab at the top right of the page.
  4. Under the e-Commerce and Business section, locate and click Magento.
  5. Click the +install this application button at the top right of the page.
  6. In the Domain field, select the domain where you want to install Magento.
  7. Make the Directory (Optional) field empty.
  8. Keep the Version settings as is, unless you have your own preference.
  9. Scroll down to the Settings section and fill out your desired username, password, email, website title and website tagline. Keep the rest of the settings as is or change it according to your preference.
  10. Click + Install at the bottom right of the page to proceed.

Website applications have their own hosting PHP requirement. If this requirement is not met, you will see the error in the screenshot below.

Scroll down to the highlighted section to identify the cause of the error. As shown in the screenshot below, the REQUIRED php VALUE to install Magento is 8.1 to 8.2.99 but the hosting has a current php VALUE DETECTED of 7.4.33. To fix this, change your PHP version in cPanel Hosting.

Additionally, in the PHP Selector page of the cPanel, where you normally change the PHP version of the whole hosting, enable the sodium PHP extension by putting a check mark on it. This action will satisfy the second requirement indicated on the error above.
