How To Connect Your Website Builder to 3rd-Party DNS

You can create your website with a few clicks by signing up or adding a new domain using our Website Builder. It comes with a free trial period wherein you can opt to connect third-party email hosting provider like Cloudflare for your website email services. If this is your case, this guide is for you.

Once the trial period ends, you can upgrade it to our paid Website Builder version. During this transition, you may need to update your name server information to continue receiving emails using your third-party email hosting provider.

Note: If your domain and other services are all hosted by Crazy Domains, there is no need for you to update any information as it is all set up for you after upgrading to paid Website Builder version.

Update your Name Server

First, update your name server and add your original third-party name server information via your Account Manager.

Important: Make sure to contact your third-party email hosting provider and get their name server information, then follow the steps below.

Step 1. Log In to Account Manager.
Step 2. Click Domains on the menu bar at the top of the page.
Step 3. Click on the Domain you wish to update from your list of Domain Names.
If you only have one domain, it will automatically route you to its management page.
Step 4. Scroll down to the Name Servers section. Click the Hamburger Menu on the right, then select the Add Name Server from the drop-down menu.
 
Step 5. To apply a new Name Server, enter the Host Name, and IP address then click the Update button.
 

Connect to Website Builder

After updating your name server, the next step is to add our IP address to your third-party email hosting provider to avoid disruptions to your email services.

Step 1. Log In to Account Manager.
Step 2. Click the [>] Arrow Icon at the top menu to search for and click on Website Builder.
Step 3. Click on the domain name that you wish to manage.
If you only have one domain, it will automatically route you to its management page.
Step 4. On the Website Builder page, hover your mouse pointer to the plus icon at the top-right handle. And click the Control Panel option from the drop-down menu list.
Step 5. It will redirect you to your Hosting Manager page, click on the Server Information link.
 
Step 6. On the Server Information window, copy the IP Address in the Shared IP Address field.
 
Step 7. Add the IP Address to your third-party DNS settings.

Note that any changes made to your name server settings may take 2-4 hours to propagate across the internet. If it has exceeded the suggested propagation time, and you’re still not seeing changes.
