How To Add a Slider in Website Builder

A Slider is a Feature in Website Builder that you can use to add a slideshow anywhere on your website. The Slider Feature is preset with 3 slides, containing a Heading and a Text Feature within each slide. You can easily add more slides and replace the preset Features within each of the slides to create slideshows containing a photo or gallery, videos, a form or a map, social media links, or simply anything that matches your preference.

To add and customise a Slider in Website Builder, follow the steps below:

1. Click Sign Up / Log In at the top of this page.
2. Select Account Manager from the drop-down menu.
3. Enter your username and password then, click Log In.
4. Click the Visit My Account button.
5. Click Website Builder from the menu at the top of the page.
6. Click on the Website Builder plan that you wish to manage.
   If you only have one Website Builder plan, you will automatically be redirected to its management page.
7. Hover your mouse pointer over the [+] Icon at the upper right-hand section of the page and click Build Now.
8. On the Sites page of your Website Builder Dashboard, hover your mouse pointer over the project/website that you would like to customise and click EDIT.
9. Hover your mouse pointer over an existing Slider on your website page, then proceed with the next step.
   Or, add a new Slider Feature first: click Build from the left-side menu, then drag and drop the Slider Icon onto a placeholder on your website page.
10. Customise the Slider as follows:
    
    Add/Remove Slides
    1. Hover your mouse pointer over an existing Slider on your website page to show the Slides [-+] buttons at the top-left corner of its placeholder.
       Or, add a new Slider Feature first: click Build from the left-side menu, drag and drop the Slider icon onto a placeholder on your website page, then hover your mouse pointer over it to find the Slides [-+] buttons.
    2. Click the [-] Icon to remove slides and the [+] Icon to add more slides.
       This action will remove the last slide or add one next to the last slide, once per click.
    
    Access Slider Options
    1. Hover your mouse pointer over an existing Slider on your website page, then click the Edit link that shows at the top-right corner of its placeholder.
       Or, add a new Slider Feature first: click Build from the left-side menu, drag and drop the Slider icon onto a placeholder on your website page, then hover your mouse pointer over it and click Edit.

       Note: Since there are other preset Features withing the Slider Feature itself, hovering over it may show the settings for the other Features. To make sure that you are seeing the Edit link for the Slider Feature, ensure that the Slides [-+] buttons appear at the same time on the opposite corner. If you don't see this, try hovering your mouse pointer farther away from the center of your Slider towards the edge of its placeholder.

    2. Under the Settings tab on the pop-up box, click to enable/disable the Loop Slides, Autoplay, and Align Vertically functions.
       If Autoplay is enabled, click and drag the bar below it to adjust its speed.
    3. Click the Design tab on the pop-up box to select a Navigation theme from the drop-down list, and enable/disable the Show Dots and Show Arrows options.
       If the latter options are enabled, select a preferred position from the drop-down list under each.
    
    Manage Features within Slides

    You can customise or remove the preset Features within a slide, or select any of the Features and add as many as you need on each slide, using the steps below:

    • Add Features - Click Build from the left-side menu, drag and drop the Feature onto a placeholder within your Slider.
    • Customise Features - Hover your mouse pointer over a Feature inside the Slider, or click on a Feature, to access their editing options.
      For Heading or Text Features, select the text to modify and editing options will appear above it.
    • Move Features - Hover your mouse pointer over a Feature inside the Slider and click the bar that appears above it, then drag and drop it a new placeholder within the Slider.
    • Remove Features - Hover your mouse pointer over a Feature inside the Slider and click the [x] icon that appears on its top-right corner.

      Important: Ensure that you do not click the [x] icon for the Slider itself. If the Slider is deleted, click the Undo icon at the upper-left corner of the Website Builder editor page.
