To run My Web Stats we will require you to insert a piece of code on each page of your website to gather live information. When this code loads it will allow data to be sent to My Web Stats where we translate this into readable information, this is where you log into your dashboard in the My Web Stats console and see the response from the script.

Follow the steps below to obtain the tracking code:

1. Click on the following link: http://www.mywebstats.com.au/
2. Enter your username and password
3. Click on Preferences
4. Click on Tracking code
5. Copy and paste the red code into every page of your website

To setup scheduled reports, follow these steps:

1. Login to My Web Stats
2. Click your domain name
3. Click Site preferences
4. Then Email reports.
5. Click Create new report
6. Fill out the form to setup the report of your stats from daily to monthly

To check the links to your website, eg. Google and Yellow Pages, login to My Web Stats and do the following:

1. Click your domain name
2. Click Links
3. This will show in depth stats on how your visitors clicked on to your website

To export your data, go to the category you would like to export and click the Floppy Disk icon on the top right of the page and select your export type from CSV or XML.

Login to My Web Stats and follow these steps:

1. On the home page, click Preferences
2. Click IP tags & filters
3. Click Add new IP address
4. Type your external IP address and name the filter so you can identify yourself in the stats

My Web Stats will monitor the number of clicks, hits, pages, visitor geographical locations, visitor behaviours, conversions, search keyword terms used to find your site and which search engines or directories they came from.

Other statistic applications take over 24 hours to generate so they do not give you real time results from your visitors. My Web Stats lets you know if a visitor downloaded particular documents such as PDFs or menus. It can tell you which products they are interested in by which page or link they clicked on and if they filled out any contact or order forms. You then know instantly if you are going to have a rush of orders for that day!
