FileZilla is powerful, yet free software
with drag-and-drop capability for transferring files over
the Net. FileZilla is the most popular FTP client and
is used by webmasters from all over the world.

Getting Your FTP Settings
You will need to have your FTP settings on hand in order
to use FileZilla to upload your Website. Please check
your confirmation setup email for the login information:
- FTP User Name
This is the user name for your hosting account.
- FTP Password
This your password for your hosting account.
- Website URL
http://www.yourdomainnamehere.com
- FTP Site URL
ftp://www.yourdomainnamehere.com

How to use FileZilla
Once you install FileZilla and get your FTP settings,
you're ready to connect to your web
server and start using FileZilla to upload your Website.

Type your FTP Site URL in
the address field |

Type your FTP User Name and the FTP
Password |

After you have typed in your FTP details,
hit Enter on your keyboard and wait for the file listing
to appear.

Select your website files to be uploaded
from the Local Site box, drag-and-drop them in the field
where the public_html files are listed. Select upload
and wait for the transfer to complete.
- Note:
If you are behind a firewall and/or router you will
need to use Passive mode for FTP to get a stable connection.
You can see this setting as is shown bellow.
To see this setting, open FileZilla and select Edit
> Settings from the top menu. In the Connections
section, click Firewall Settings and tick Passive Mode.
